Hasta el próximo 3 de marzo encontramos en la Sala Canal de Isabel II la exposición Modus, donde lo español es el principal protagonista. Una muestra de piezas escogidas de alta costura, prêt-à-porter y modelos exclusivos que exhibe el talento creativo y el dominio del oficio de los maestros de la moda española con piezas de imprescindibles de la costura de todos los tiempos.
Una cuidada selección de los diseños más representativos y relevantes de los creadores españoles más reputados y admirados del sector. Desde la casulla con motivos vegetales de Mariano Fortuny pasando por el vestido en raso de seda salvaje de Cristóbal Balenciaga llegando a piezas contemporáneas como el vestido de piezas de madera realizadas mediante impresión 3D de Leandro Cano o el vestido de seda con volantes y tocado en forma de halo de Palomo Spain.
Piezas como el abrigo de tafetán batanado de lana con plisado de nuestro más célebre diseñador manchego y uno de los grandes diseñadores españoles del S.XX, fundador de la pasarela Cibeles e impulsor del pret à porter español y de la marca España, Manuel Piña.
Del diseñador Miguel Adrover que, recientemente ha recibido el máximo reconocimiento oficial en el sector de la moda, también encontramos una de sus piezas inspirada en el traje de payesa mallorquina con americana en seda y algodón, sombrero de rafia y rebosillos de bolillos hechos a mano.
En la primera planta las formas y los colores dan paso al encaje y el estilo goyesco como elementos indispensables. En la segunda planta, el folclore español hace especial hincapié en el universo andaluz con sus lunares, volantes y el mundo de la tauromaquia como fuente de inspiración no solo para los grandes creadores españoles, sino también de internacionales como Givenchy, con piezas como la chaquetilla torera en terciopelo con bordados y aplicaciones o el vestido de coctel con estampado de lunares del maestro Pertegaz. Por último el espacio de la cuba, donde la tradición y la religión se fusionan como fuentes del espíritu español. Toda una exhibición de talento creativo es lo que encontramos en esta nueva exposición que hace las delicias de los amantes de la moda.
